FHWS (HOCHSCHULE WÜRZBURG-SCHWEINFURT UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

 

 

Outline:

The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt was founded in 1971 and has approximately 8,600 students (with some 400 international students[1]) and 500 staff.  It is now the third largest state university of applied sciences in Bavaria and is one of the fastest growing cities in Germany.

The City of Schweinfurt (in Würzburg) is a strategic location in Germany. Known for innovative technology and solution-based performance, Schweinfurt also is a dynamic community with one of the best business climates in Europe.  In 2008, it was rated as the second most economic-developing places in Germany.  The GDP per capita of Schweinfurt is also the third highest in Germany and was named the most “dynamic town in Germany”.

FHWS offers 24 degree programmes (Bachelor’s and 7 are Master’s degree).  The key disciplines of study include Business Studies, Design, Engineering and Social Sciences.
