HTW Chur University of Applied Sciences Eastern Switzerland

Outline:

The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur, Switzerland is a public institution founded in 1963.  It is a member of the University of Applied Sciences in Eastern Switzerland (Fachhochschule Ostschweiz FHO) and the courses are recognised by the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs.

There are some 1,400 students studying five Bachelor study courses and several master programmes.  The HTW Chur offers courses in the fields of : (i) Tourism and Hospitality ; (ii)  Management/Entrepreneurship ; (iii) Information Studies ; (iv) Telecommunication/Electrotechncis ; (v) Construction and Design ; and (vi) Media. 

In addition, the University has established an Institute for Tourism and Leisure Research that offers trend research, feasibility studies, consultancy services, project management and strategy workshops in the areas of wellness resorts, nature parks, amusement parks, transport companies, tourism organisations and gastronomy/hospitality firms.

It provides high-quality and affordable student housing for over 3,000 students.
Their accommodation is located close to the educational facilities in the best residential areas of Lappeenranta, and the distance to Joutseno and Imatra is quite reasonable.

How to get there?
HelsinkI-Vantaa Airport (HEL / EFHK), which is in Helsinki, Finland and is 225 km from Imatra, Finland.

Railways
The easiest way to get to other towns in Finland is by train. Student discount is 50 %.
