OVERSEAS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (OITP)

NYP offers various Overseas Internship Programmes (OITP) in hope to prepare students to be “global-ready” graduates. Students will get to put their knowledge and skills to practice in a cross-cultural workplace setting and learn to meet the demands of an increasingly globalised economy. Students on the Overseas Internship Programme (OITP) do their internship at leading Companies overseas for up to 24 weeks.

Why should students join?

The work attachment develops in students a good work attitude, a practice-oriented mindset and provides real-life work experiences related to their field of study in a foreign country. By applying what they have learnt during their internship at the host companies, the students’ learning process is enhanced. In addition, students obtain in-depth exposure to the foreign socio-cultural environments that they are in.

Pre-Requisites of students going on OITP:

1)     Highly motivated

2)     Independent

3)     Full parental support obtained

4)     Adventurous and open-minded    

5)     Responsible and mature
