Youngsan University

 Located in Busan,South Korea

Established in 1997, the private University is located in Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang province, Busan.  It operates a main campus in Yangsan City, a branch campus nearby Busan and an "auxiliary learning center" in Seoul.  YSU is accredited by the Korean Ministry of Education and Human Resources. 

YSU consists of 6 graduate schools and 9 colleges with a total enrolment of 8,000 students. It has one of the highest employment rates of 80.5% amongst universities in Busan.  The University has 1,100 dormitory rooms.  The University has an international outlook and established agreements with 70 universities in 13 countries on student exchanges. 

YSU is admired for its academic excellence in the areas of Business, Media & Broadcast, Hotel / Tourism and Law.  This is in line with the Korean government’s current efforts to position Busan as the center for business, media / broadcasting  as well as medical tourism.

YSU offers English taught undergraduate courses under the College of Law & Economics (Business Administration, International Trade), College of Hotel & Tourism Management (Hotel Management, Food Service Management, Conventions & Events, Food & Culinary Arts, Airline & Tourism Management) ; and College of Culture Technology (Film & Image, Journalism & Broadcasting, Advertising & Public Relations). 



Housing:
The dormitory provides students with rooms, a comfortable lobby, a TV lounge, a store and recreational and shower facilities during the semester. Students are selected on the basis of standards set by the university and asked to obey regulations designed to provide a free environment for dorm residents. While living communally with others, students are expected to practice traditional values and to maintain a service mindset toward others in keeping with the educational goals of the university.


Both the Yangsan and Busan campuses have dormitories. Yangsan Campus Dormitory One has four levels covering the area of 2,221.80m2 and Yangsan Campus Dormitory Two five levels covering the area of 4,904.54m2. Busan Campus Dormitory has one underground level and six levels covering the area of 7,807.00m2.

Transportation:

KTX to Busan depart every 10~20 minutes up to 22:00, journey time slightly less than 3 hours.

From Incheon International to Seoul Train Station, there are frequent shuttle buses such as 601 or 605. The airport train runs only to Gimpo Airport, whereas Gimpo Airport-Seoul Station leg is still under construction. Don't bother with the train at the airport.
